Kerry patients needed for asthma survey

The Asthma Society is seeking Kerry parents with children under 15 who have asthma or those who care for someone with asthma to take part in a new survey aimed at finding out how much asthma costs both the state and people with asthma.

At present, there are approximately 14,000 people with asthma living in Kerry and the research will explore how an annual asthma structured review could help save people with asthma and the state money, while also providing asthma patients with better health outcomes in all counties.

The survey - which is being conducted with GlaxoSmithKline - can be accessed via the society's website at www.asthma.ie.
