Excitement is building around town this week as we approach the start of the five day celebration of food that is the 'Listowel Food Fair' which will run from November 7 to 11 in various locations around town.

Now into its 25th year, the festival continues to attract visitors from all over the county to Listowel and looking at this year's schedule of events, 2019 looks set again to be a belter of a few days.

One of the highlights of this years event is sure to be the 'Listowel Health Fair' which will be hosted by 'Dr Eva' in the Listowel Community Centre on Friday, November 8. Entitled 'Staying Healthy in Today's World', the fair will feature talks from TV personality and diet expert, Dr Eva; Julie Anne Brady, a well being coach and nutritionist; Juliette O'Connell an outreach co-ordinator with Breast Cancer Ireland; Amy Murphy, a Dementia Advisor from the Alzheimers Association of Ireland and Siobhán McSweeney, an Oncology Nurse and a volunteer with Recovery Haven.

Other events over the festival include the 'Tasting Dinner & Awards Night' at the Listowel Arms Hotel on Saturday, November 9.
