Festive fun for all the family at Ballyheigue Christmas Gathering

A FESTIVE family night full of laughs is what will greet visitors to Ballyheigue Community Centre this Saturday, December 7, when the north Kerry villages hosts its annual Christmas Gathering.

Billed as a 'fun filled family show' the night promises a mix of live music, laugh out loud comedy and some stunning dance routines from some of the parish's most talented performers, all organised by Joe Burkett and Breda Cronin.

Doors open at 7.15pm with a carol service pupils of the two local schools, with the main show getting underway at 8pm.

The comedy sketch was penned by Tommy James and according to organisers it's guaranteed to bring the house down on the night.

The event will also act as the perfect platform to unveil the newly refurbished stage at the Ballyheigue Community Centre, thanks to locals Mary O'Halloran, Sean Higgins, Daragh O'Leary and Eamon Ward who worked tirelessly to make sure the stage was ready on time.

"It's sure to be a great night and will kick-start your festive season in style," a spokesperson for the Gathering said.

Tickets cost €5 for adults and €2 for children.
