Don't forget to sign up for Tralee Solstice run

Fergus Dennehy

This is your 10 day reminder that there is still time to sign up to take part in the upcoming Tralee Summer Solstice Half-Marathon and 10k This year's run will take place on Saturday June 22 at 7pm and there will be a tech finisher top and a medal for participants in both the half-marathon and the 10k.

The road race was first set up 14 years ago by local man, Jim McNeice, to help raise vital funds for the Irish Heart Foundation; now almost a decade and a half later, it has become one of the premier events on the Kerry running calendar.

If helping out as vital as organisation as the Irish Heart Foundation was not incentive enough, every person who enters the run online will also be entered into a draw to win a free trip to the 2019 New York Marathon, including flights, accommodation and a race entry. People who enter in person at number pick up or on the day of the event will not be included in the draw.

Registration is just €25 and available online through the 'Tralee Summer Solstice Half Marathon and 10k' Facebook page.
