Ukeladies band deserve a break
I SEE the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are coming on a short Irish tour in July.
They were formed in 1985 and have sold out all over the world. Music fans around Drogheda will know that we have our own - and better version - The Ukeladies, all pupils of Greenhills school. There is no doubt with the odd good break, these ladies can become world famous as well - they are that good. I wonder any chance of the GB version giving the local girls a slot on their Irish shows to help them up the ladder?
