Remember the name, Saoirse Fennessy because if the past few weeks - and her latest song - are anything to go by, then the future is very bright indeed for the Kilgarvan native.

Saoirse's stock has risen quite far with the success of her song 'Midnight Train'; the success of which is very much down to the message associated with the song, but also due to the sheer talent that Saoirse brings to it.

All funds raised from the song are being donated to Pieta House, a charity that is very close to Saoirse's heart, with the charity having helped her through a particularly dark time in her life.

The song breached the top 10 of the downloads chart and  has amassed thousands of views online.

Speaking to The Kerryman on Friday, Saoirse said that it was all overwhelming.

"It's all a bit overwhelming. It's a bit crazy. You never think it would get this far but it got into the number three and four spot in the downloads chart on iTunes last week," she said.

"Even getting the song into the top 100 was incredible for us and it's getting its first few plays on the radio soon. The support has been crazy. People are really on board with it," she continued.

The song is currently available to listen to on iTunes, Apple, Amazon and Spotify.

The video is now up on 'The Kerryman' Facebook.
