Revival is to go ahead next year with the exact same line-up as had been booked for 2020.

Organisers took what they said was the 'heartbreaking' decision to cancel this year's festival last week. But there was some good news for fans:

"We are pleased to announce that all acts scheduled originally for this year's festival will perform at next year's Revival which will take place on the August 13 and 14, 2021. Friday night will see The Waterboys, The Stunning, and Cry Before Dawn take to the stage, while Gavin James, Hudson Taylor, and Stephanie Rainey will close out the festivities on Saturday evening," organiser and Listowel Mayor Jimmy Moloney said.

After the highs of last year's festival, which saw legendary acts such as Sharon Shannon and Finbar Furey take to the stage, this year the town square will be quiet, sadly - but never fear as organisers of Revival have promised that they'll be back in 2021.

"It is our deepest regret to inform you that, in the wake of ongoing government restrictions and advice on mass gatherings, we have come to the difficult decision not to proceed with this year's Revival Festival, which was due to be held in August 2020."
