Puck Fair offered as alternative venue

NEVER ones to resist an opportunity to make good a bad situation, some witty folk in Killorglin are offering to host Garth Brooks at Puck.

An hilarious ad on Done Deal - submitted by 'The Puck Goat' - offers the hand of friendship to the embattled star, by not only inviting him to the world renowned festival but making a special dispensation this year and extending the festival by two days.

In the ad, 'Puck' says they won't even charge the multi millionaire artist for his services and will provide accommodation at of the town's most renowned hostelries.

"Since them Dublin lads are not willing to leave you play your five nights, we are willing to extend Puck Fair if you want to come down and play. As you know, Puck Fair is on August 10 again this year and if 'tis five nights you want, 'tis five nights you'll get," he ad reads.

"We are fierce reasonable people here and we are willing to let you play without charging you at all, even for the extra two nights. We will also put you up - there is a twin room held for you above Paud Neill's publicans, 'tis fine and central anyway. We can organise food to be brought to you from the Real Burger and a few of Gemma's American Style Hot Dogs are on offer too."

However, with Puck Fair just weeks away, The Puck Goat advises that Garth decide asap - and even warns about the heavy traffic expected in the town.

"The festivities start on August 10, but the traffic can be kinda crazy on the first day so we have the room booked from the ninth. We'd appreciate if you could start organising yourself straight away as we've enough to be doing..
