Library hosting exciting 'Cartoon Capers' event for kids' Book Festival

Children's Book Festival which runs for the month of October every year will see libraries, schools and bookshops across the country hosting events with the very best Irish and international children's writers and illustrators and Listowel ain't no exception.

Kerry Library Service is delighted to offer a fantastic range of events to local schools in the area schools this October.

With 100s of events due to take place nationwide, there will be plenty of opportunities to make friends with reading in your local library!

The festival programme is always jam-packed with a huge range of book-themed entertainments and activities.

The festival is bigger than ever with over 1,500 events taking place in libraries, schools, bookshops, and community arts centres all over the island of Ireland.

On November 2 at 10.30 AM Listowel Library will host a 'Cartoon Capers Workshop' with Author and Illustrator Alan Nolan. This event is falling during the school mid term, so it may be the perfect escape on a rainy morning to entertain children ages 8-12.

The workshop is free and will last for approx 45 minutes. Advance booking is necessary, please phone Listowel Library on (068)23044 to secure your place.
