Celia & Marietta's top fashion tips for Listowel Ladies' Day

With the Listowel Races just a few days away, two of the festival's most fashionable ladies have offered up a few quick tips on how you can get the very best out of your outfits over the dew days.

Marietta Doran will be one of the fashion judges at the festival with fashion icon Celia Holman Lee also set to be there on the day as well.

"As it is one of the first race meetings of the Autumn, I would suggest a beautiful winter coat, (start that as your base) and either a nice pair of classic trousers or a good tailored dress," said queen of fashion, Celia Holman Lee. "Another suggestion and one that is very current for Autumn is the trousers suit with a pussy cat bow blouse. Hats are always a favourite of mine, I would suggest a soft felt fabric as it is ideal for that time of year," she continued. My other suggestion when it comes to accessories are gloves and use them to introduce a splash of colour. Your bag and shoes put the finishing touches to an outfit.

"When you are purchasing a bag, scale is very important. If you are tall, make sure you have a good size clutch bag to complement your height. If you are a little shorter, my suggestion is you keep the bag a neater size," she said. Marietta Doran was also quick to offer key fashion tips for the all-important date in Munster's social and racing calendar. "Head-to-toe glamour is an absolute must and ladies must always wear a headpiece while adding a dash of colour will always catch the judges' eyes," Marietta said.
