Siamsa Tíre was buzzing with creativity recently as pupils and teachers from four different schools around the county took part in the 'Bee Creative' showcase.

Pupils from Firies NS, Killahan NS, Lenamore NS and Dromclough took part in a visual and creative showcase which was the result of 14 sessions worth of work with artists as part of a teacher/artist partnership which saw artists from different disciplines - poetry, textile artists and a creative dancer - come into each of the schools and work with the children on expressing their creativity. Bríd Enright, an organiser of the event, said that the event was a "wonderful" event for everyone involved.

"Some of the children wrote poetry, some of them did their own textile art and some of then came up with a creative dance," said Bríd speaking to The Kerryman on Tuesday.

"It was a culmination of all the 14 sessions of work that they had done with the different artists," she said.
