Yellow peril won't shackle me: Glenn

HE'S ONE of the eight Ireland players on a yellow card ahead of tonight's Euro 2012 playoff away to Estonia, but midfielder Glenn Whelan has promised that the yellow peril will not be a factor.
Whelan, along with Simon Cox (pictured) , Darron Gibson, Stephen Hunt, Stephen Kelly, Aiden McGeady, Sean St Ledger and Keiren Westwood, all know that a booking away to Estonia tonight would rule them out of the home leg through suspension, but Whelan insists he won't change the way he plays.
"The yellow card is not on my mind. I don't actually remember getting the first card. It was a while back so I will keep playing the way I have," Whelan says. "If I get a yellow and miss the home game then I'll deal with it, but it won't change the way I play."
