Woody's direction a passion killer in the bedroom, says Rhys Meyers

But actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers says sex scenes are definitely not Woody's forte.

Jonathan worked with Allen on 2005 film Match Point and had to film several sex scenes with voluptuous actress Scarlett Johansson.

According to Meyers, having Allen wandering about on set was something of a passion killer. Go figure.

"Woody Allen is a disaster when it comes to doing sex scenes," Meyers said.

"Sex is such a personal thing and when you have to do it for a public audience then sex becomes a performance."

"He (Woody) came in the first morning we were doing sex scenes and he said, 'I feel awkward. I don't know how to shoot this'."

Jonathan is promoting his new blood curdling series Dracula and has compared the vampires addiction to blood to alcohol addiction.

Jonathan used to have a reputation for his hard drinking and hard partying ways. But he says that lifestyle no longer appeals.

"I was wild as you can get," The Tudors star said. "I had a good chat with my really close friends and my family and I just came to the end of whatever."

"Going out and getting p**sed got really boring because I knew where I was going to end up," he told chat show host Jonathan Ross.

When Ross asked him if he was teetotal he replied. "I have nothing at all. Once you make a decision that you've had enough of something, then the decision is made."

The Albert Nobbs star seems more settled in himself and even discussed the possibility of starting a family in the future.

"I think I'd be a good dad, I'd find it very hard not to spoil a kid," he said.
