Wolves ready to listen to offers for Doyle

WOLVES HAVE told Kevin Doyle that they will listen to offers for the Ireland striker before the transfer window closes.

Doyle, 30, has fallen out of favour under Kenny Jackett recently, starting just one of the last five games for promotion-chasing Wolves .

Earlier this week Doyle was linked with a move to Championship side Middlesbrough.

Wolves are not desperate to sell Doyle but a move for the Wexford man would get him off the wage bill at Molineux and that is a factor for boss Jackett.

"If the right offer came in for any player we would look at it," Jackett said.

"Earlier in the season there was a lot of speculation about Kevin going to various places. Those haven't transpired but he is not one that we are actively looking to move on. As with any player, we will look and we will see. He's not been a regular starter in recent games but the other side of it is you do need depth and some competition.

"There are no offers on the table, or anyone suddenly going to go out before the weekend."
