Who will be the next Suri?

Tom Cruise's girl will soon cease to be the most photographed child in the world now that she's started school. Anna Coogan looks at the celebrity contenders

She has been the most photographed child in the world for the past six years, but now that Suri Cruise has started attending the exclusive Avenues School in New York, she may soon be locked away with her school books and away from photographers.

An obvious replacement for Suri as the most photographed celebrity offspring is one year-old Harper Beckham, who this week was in the Big Apple with mum Victoria for New York Fashion Week.

Though Hollywood actress and producer Salma Hayek is also seen out and about a lot these days with her only child and daughter Valentina (4), including at the Deauville Film Festival this week.

Oscar nominee Michelle Williams is regularly snapped out and about with beautiful daughter Matilda (6), who is the daughter of the late actor Heath Ledger.

Of course, it's clear that Angelina Jolie's girls Zahara (7) and Shiloh (6) are well in the running to become the children who most fascinate us, given that they both have such unique style and live such a privileged life.

Supermodel Heidi Klum has been blessed with an equally photogenic daughter in Leni (8) who looks set to follow in mum's modelling footsteps.

Meanwhile, former wild child Nicole Richie has been transformed into a yummy mummy since having daughter Harlow (4), making them both a big hit with the paparazzi.

While our own TV personality Lorraine Keane and her darling girls Emelia (8) and Romy (5) are a big hit with photographers whenever they are out on the town.
