Whiskey deal agreed
JAPAN'S Suntory Holdings, the closely held whiskey and beer maker, has agreed to buy US-based Beam in a $16bn (€11.7bn) deal that will create the world's third-largest premium spirits company.
Suntory, the maker of Yamazaki whiskey is seeking to boost overseas growth as the population in its home country shrinks and ages.
