Vogue's family loss won't be put on screen

THE tragic passing away of Vogue Williams's father won't be featured in the new series of RTE's Fade Street.

Vogue (24), who's one of the four stars playing central roles in the docu-drama, sadly lost her dad Freddie last November.

The father-of-four passed away in the Mater Hospital after complications arose from an illness and died on November 12, with the death unfortunately coinciding with the high profile launch of the TV show in Dakota.

However, the tragedy will not touched upon during the upcoming second series of the show, which begins again on January 10.

Co-producer John Norton of Straywave Media explained how they were keen to respect Vogue's wishes on the issue and not have what happened included in any of the storylines.

"She didn't want it to be covered. It was very hard for her and for her family and she didn't want anything about it to be in the series and we wanted to honour her wishes," he explained.

The next installment of the series has been moved to a new slot by RTE. It will now screen every Monday at 10.50pm, instead of Thursdays at 9pm.
