Vic's new gym buddie is housewives star Nic

Actress Victoria Smurfit has become good pals with Desperate Housewife Nicollette Sheridan after starring in a new movie with her.

Mum-of-three Victoria (36) is well known for her super-svelte figure, while Nicollette (46) is regularly voted amongst the best bodies in Tinseltown.

So it's no surprise the glamorous co-stars struck up a friendship on the set of Honeymoon For One through their love of keeping fit.

The Trial And Retribution star told the Diary they instantly became good buddies after bonding over endless sessions of intensive yoga.

"She's a lovely woman and we had great fun together," Victoria said. "We got to do a lot of yoga together."

The pair will be keeping in touch despite the former Desperate Housewives star, left, who played tragic Edie Britt on the hit TV series, recently moving back to the US after an extended three-month stay here.

The actresses recently finished filming their new movie, which will be screened on the Hallmark Channel in the US and around the world.

"I can't say much about the movie yet because they are eager to keep it under-wraps, but it was nice to play an American. I haven't seen it yet.

"I've got plans, but nothing I can really talk about just yet. I've got a bit of travel coming up in the New Year," Victoria added.

Victoria and former Wisteria Lane leading lady Nicollette were spotted at the China Sichuan restaurant in Sandyford in South Dublin.

Diners were thrilled to see the pair dropping in for lunch, no doubt swapping tips on a healthy lifestyle.

Autographs

The high-profile pair were spotted filming scenes for their new production at the Sandyford eatery and afterwards decided to stay on for a bite to eat with their fellow co-stars.

"Nicollette was in great form and very friendly to all the staff in the restaurant," said an insider.

"By the time they were finished filming their scenes, some of the lunchtime crowd had already arrived and were stunned to see Nicollette there. She was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.

"Victoria and the rest of the cast were there as well and afterwards they all left together to move on to another location nearby."

The film was shot around Dublin, as well as in Powerscourt in Co Wicklow. It was filmed by Parallel Film Productions, the Dun Laoghaire-based company, who were also behind hits like Intermission.

Nicollette is believed to have stayed in the Shelbourne hotel on Stephen's Green.
