united off target

LVG could miss out on Ramos as Muller says he's not moving

MANCHESTER United could miss out on two of their main summer targets as they are now unlikely to land Sergio Ramos and Thomas Muller.

United have been tracking Sergio Ramos for some time and had hoped to lure him to Old Trafford. But rivals Manchester City have now reportedly made a bid for the defender, and their financial package will outweigh United's offer for the Real Madrid man.

There were also reports that United were lining up a €50million bid for Muller, but the German international has said he's happy to stay at Bayern Munich and a move will only go through if Bayern decide to cash in.

"A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good. But I feel fine at Bayern and my contract runs until 2019. There is nothing more to say about this speculation," Muller said.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Walters could also be on the move after talks with Stoke City on a new deal broke down and the club could now decide to sell the Ireland international.

West Brom are keeping tabs on the Walters situation ahead of the new season.
