Divine Women
BBC2, 9pm
In the final episode of the series, historian Bettany Hughes (left) reveals how the Dark Ages was a golden era for women in religion as education and the written word became vital tools for them. She explores the legacy of two wives of the prophet Muhammad -- Khadija, the first convert to Islam, and Aisha, a scholar. She then turns to Wu Zetien -- the only female Emperor in China and St Hilda, who presided over the Synod of Whitby conference.
