Trapattoni dismisses links to Lazio position

Vladimir Petkovic, the current manager of the Rome side, is under pressure after a run of just one win in the last six games and local media had linked Trapattoni with the post, but he has ruled that out.

"Am I going to Lazio? No, those are just rumours that are unfounded," Trapattoni said.

"With regards to my future, there have been some conversations with interested parties and I will try to make the right choice.

"Italy is a marvellous country in which I've had success and satisfaction."
