Tragedy as bingo player (74) hit by car
A 74-year-old Dublin woman has been killed after being hit by a car following a night of bingo in Ballyfermot.
The accident happened at 10pm last night after the pensioner left the Gala Bingo on the Ballyfermot Road.
The victim, who has yet to be named by gardai, is a regular bingo player, lived locally and was on her way home when she was hit by a car on the road.
Gardai are also investigating the death of Margaret Kilduff (78), who was killed when she was hit by a car in Roscommon on Wednesday night.
Ms Kilduff, from Lowtown, Ballydangan, Co Roscommon, died as a result of the accident about 8.30pm at Ballydangan, on the old Athlone to Ballinasloe Road.
