Toure agent says player will leave in summer

Dimitri Seluk says the midfield star, who will have one year left on his £220,000-a-week contract in the close season, has received "various offers".

After Toure's representative claimed he was almost certain to leave last summer, chairman Khaldoon al Muburak intervened to personally convince the big Ivorian he should stay.

The Ukranian has agitated for moves for Toure repeatedly down the years and now he has stated his time with the Blues will not extend beyond the current campaign.

He said: "He'll definitely leave Manchester City, I can calmly confirm that.

"Various offers have arrived for Yaya and we're evaluating them, but no decision has been taken yet for next season."

Inter Milan are long-term admirers and former City boss Roberto Mancini is prepared to make Toure his best-paid player on over £60,000-a-week - a figure that would represent a significant pay cut.

"Will the economic aspect make the difference?" added Seluk. "Absolutely not. We don't put money before everything, but the project the club presents us. The best will convince us.

"Inter? We're definitely talking about a great club and everyone knows about the relationship between Yaya and Mancini, but like I've already said, we haven't made any decision yet.

"But I'll add that the Nerazzurri's project is great and Inter is a fantastic club. So it's normal that they want a player of this level."

Meanwhile, City boss Manuel Pellegrini is backing Eliaquim Mangala to cope with the enigmatic Zlatan Ibrahimovic in tomorrow's Champions League crunch in Paris.

The Blues boss picked out a remarkable statistic to bolster the much-criticised French defender's confidence ahead of that meeting with Pars St Germain.

He pointed out that City have won 52 per cent of their matches in the Premier League this season - but that figure rises to 69 per cent in games which Mangala has started.

"If you have the statistics then you will see every time Mangala plays then we win," said Pellegrini, after the £42million buy had helped his team to a shut-out in a 4-0 win at Bournemouth.

"In a few games this season he has made mistakes, which is very awful to concede, but if you review his overall performances, he is a very good player. He is a very good defender. I don't think the price made a difference for him. He is a very young player, he is adapting to a difficult league in the Premier League.

"He has all the conditions to be a very important player here and I'm sure he will improve in every season he plays in the Premier League."

City executives who will decide Mangala's future in the summer, are less impressed with their investment, and if a reasonable offer comes in, Mangala will go.
