p Tough luck on to our Junior team which lost 2-6 to 1-14 to Westmeath in the All-Ireland Junior 'A' final on Sunday, Well done to players and management on getting to the final.
p Congratulations again to the under-16 players as they enjoyed the their parade around Croke Park in front of 81,364 on Sunday before the Dublin v Mayo Senior Football semi-final. They recently won the All-Ireland under 16A championship title.
p Saturday, September 8, eve of the Camogie All-Ireland finals, will be a busy Camogie day in Dublin. The Daintree Paper All-Ireland Camogie 7s takes place in Kilmacud Crokes. The Inaugural All-Ireland under 14 Camogie Blitz takes place in a number of clubs throughout the county. (1,200 girls from 30 counties will be taking part!) And the Camogie Association holds its Annual Fundraising Event at Shelbourne Park on Saturday evening. Go to http://www.camogie.ie for further details.
p The Senior 1 championship games St Vincent's v Gd Counsel and Lucan v Oliver Plunketts/ER scheduled for this Tuesday, Sept 28 have been refixed for 6.45pm on Sunday 9 September
p All championship finals will take place on the weekend of Saturday/Sunday, September 29/30. The venue for Senior 2 to Senior7 finals will probably be Trinity Gaels grounds. The Senior1 final will take place in Parnell Park or O'Toole depending on availability of these grounds on the same weekend. The relegation play-offs will also take place on this weekend.
p Again a reminder to club secretaries, team mentors and players: If a player subs up to a higher grade in the Adult Championships she cannot subsequently play at a lower grade in either League or Championship for the remainder of the current season. Regrading will be necessary at beginning of next season. If you sub up in championship -- you stay up!!
