RTE beauty Kathryn Thomas describes the talent on her new TV show The Voice Of Ireland as "unbelievable".

The big-budget RTE programme is one of the highlights of the winter/spring schedule.

"It's going great. It's day three now and everyone's found their feet. I'm loving it, there's plenty of craic and for me it means working with a great crew," she said.

"The talent is just unreal. You're listening to them perform and it's like 'where have all these people been hiding?'

"They all seem to know what they're looking for. We're all backstage going 'I can't believe that person didn't get through'.

"But they seem to know what will and won't work," says Kathryn, who is co-presenter on the new show,

But The Voice Of Ireland isn't the only show Kathryn will be working on. She is also filming Winning Streak over the weekend, as well as returning as the front-woman on Operation Transformation.

And as if all that weren't enough, she is also hosting a radio quiz show -- Before Your Time -- on Radio 1. It takes 15 young people, born in 1989 or after and each representing a college. They have to answer questions based on events that happened before they were born. The experts on the show will be three "game geriatrics", Barry Devlin, Ruth Buchanan and Shay Healy.

"It's kind of a Reeling In The Years show for radio," she says.
