Surf's up for Caroline as she makes waves in Dubai

THE 22-year-old athlete showed off her board skills when she hit the surfing pool at Dubai's Wild Wadi adventure park.

Caroline, who is dating Irish golfing superstar Rory McIlroy, took time out of her hectic training schedule to hit the waves.

Frolicked

The tennis star beamed as she frolicked about in the surf. With her sandy blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail and her golden glowing skin, the Danish athlete looks every inch the surfer girl.

But Caroline won't be throwing in her racket and becoming a beach bum anytime soon. The pretty blonde was simply testing out the artificial surfing machine at the Dubai water park.

The sports star had a fantastic day testing out various rides on offer. She shared a photo of herself perching precariously on a surfboard with her Twitter followers.

"I love this pic from today," she wrote. "Got a hang of it in the end."

Caroline has been dating Rory since 2011. They fell for each other after they met at a fight between David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko in Germany.

And Co Down golfing champ Rory says Caroline is a great influence on him.

"Seeing how hard she works and how hard she practices and how dedicated she is, it definitely flipped a switch with me that I could be a little more like that," he said. "She's definitely been a great influence on me."

It's going to be a busy few weeks for the couple. Caroline is gearing up for the WTA Dubai Tennis Championships and Rory is about to go head to head with his pal and former national team mate Shane Lowry at the WGC Match Play.
