Super Sars to sink Saints

BALLINTEER ST JOHN’S v LUCAN SARS (Tonight, Iveagh Grounds, 7.15)

LAST term, Ballinteer bowed out to O’Toole’s in Swords. The Larriers dominated, but Johnny McNally still produced a few tricks. He has hung up the Billy Dane boots since. He is now on the management crew.

The former Dub, Ciarán O’Hare, is on the bridge at the 12th Lock. The nimble Stephen O’Shaughnessy lit up last season’s championship. From centre half-back, he was doing everything but reading the nine o’clock news.

The Sars marched all the way to the semi-final where they came within a whisker of defeating Plunkett’s. Lucan possess much experience, and another member of the Dublin U21 club, Emmet ó Conghaile.

Lucan are in Division 1. St John’s are unbeaten in Division 2. The winners will face the champions, St Brigid’s, or Thomas Davis.

VERDICT: Lucan Sarsfields
