Stritch happy to 'B' on track

Always in control, Pat Stritch's side blew their age-old foes out of the water with some good flowing football and ruthlessness in front of goal.

"We are very happy with the performance," said the Dublin manager afterwards. Really, we were on top for the majority of the game. We were well up at half-time and it was just a matter of keeping it together after that.

"We have played three and won three now so the momentum is there. It is almost guaranteed that we will make the play-offs now. But hopefully we can keep up our form in going forward."

It was a superb team show. Full-back Amy Hasley was a commanding presence, Shona Barrett controlled the midfield, while up front Denis McKenna finished with a personal tally of 1-5.

Next up for the Dubs is a clash with Galway, which will be quickly followed by a visit from Cork. They are games that Stritch is looking forward to but he is well aware of the potential pitfalls in both contests.

"Galway beat Meath well as well so they are operating at a similar level to us," he mused. "Then Cork is Cork. As we have seen over the years in ladies football they are always a massive challenge. They will be two well-fought games and will tell a lot."
