Stokes out to fire Celts past Sion in Switzerland

After winning their first three games of the season, Neil Lennon's side find themselves under pressure after drawing with Sion and losing to St Johnstone within the space of four days.

While the dropped points against St Johnstone can be retrieved over the course of the season, Celtic must find the net against Sion tonight to ensure that their European campaign doesn't end in August for the second year running.

The managerial pressure in the Glasgow goldfish bowl has switched from Ally McCoist to Neil Lennon since the weekend, with Stokes knowing what's at stake in Switzerland tonight.

"We owe the gaffer one," Stokes said. " The first leg was disappointing, but if we win in Sion, it'll make up for it. It's time for the lads to stand up and be counted.

"In the first leg, as a team, we missed chance after chance and their keeper had a good game. It was just one of those days.

"It's been a long time since we failed to score two games in a row at home, but the important thing is this game. If we weren't creating chances, that would be the bigger issue.

"I know as a striker you will miss chances, but all we can do is forget about it and move on."

Gary Hooper, Biram Kayal and Kelvin Wilson have been involved in light training since the weekend and Lennon will make a late decision on their fitness.
