Starring in Elf was intense, but kept me so fit, says Aoibhinn

The pair braved the miserable weather for a bit of window shopping as they walking through South King Street before stopping in to a phone shop.

The 28-year-old was decked out in a black biker coat, knitted scarf and slate grey leather boots while, Chris (40) also donned a hat, scarf and multiple layers to keep the January chill at bay.

Rumours of a romance between Monaghan native Aoibhinn and radio/television personality Chris have been circulating since he turned up to see her performance in 'Elf The Musical' at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in December. Aoibhinn has previously stated that her role on RTE's hit crime drama has actually hindered her love life as people tend to associate her with her character Trish and "roar at her in the street".

The brunette beauty has previously been linked to The Corona's frontman Danny O'Reilly, whom she insisted was just a friend.

Yorkshire-born Chris dated TV producer Sophie Waite for eight years before calling quits on their relationship in 2010, maintaining he was not ready for marriage as he focused on his career.

Earlier, Aoibhinn told the Diary how starring in Elf over Christmas was quite a gruelling regime.

"It's really nice to get back into being outside in daylight again because when you're in a show like that you end up sleeping during the day and being in the theatre in the evenings," she said.

"It was quite intense, but I was really privileged to be in it and it's an experience I'll never forget."

Aoibhinn has been picked by Thomas Sabo as their brand ambassador and said she appreciates the versatile jewellery that complements her lifestyle.

"The new collection is up my street - you can wear it relaxed or casual during the day but you could wear in the evening whether you were going out in the summer or the winter," she said.
