Vins and Boden set for epic encounter

IT'S the match all of Dublin camogie wants to see - Ballyboden St Enda's against St Vincent's in the 'We Are Dublin' Senior 1 Championship final next Sunday.

O'Toole Park will be jammers for the clash of the two super-powers of the modern game.

It's the third year in succession that the clubs have met in the final. In 2012, Boden had six points to spare. Last October, Boden won it by a goal.

It was a terrific tussle. The latest instalment promises much. Vins last lifted the crown in 2007.

They are managed by the former Dublin hurler, Shane Dalton. He's done a super job.

Boden are seeking the five-in-a-row. Richie Sweetnam, the ex-Kilmacud goalkeeper, has been in charge for their last four triumphs. And he'll be in the dugout again.

Vincent's know about securing the five-in-a-row. Under the Marino banner, they achieved the feat in 1996.

Boden's first crown didn't come till 1999. They are now looking to go into double figures.

The sides also met in the 2008 final. Boden prevailed by six points. The Vins mentors included top League of Ireland footballer, Ollie Cahill.
