Unsatisfactory situation for Conor McGregor in Vegas

Revelations that Jose Aldo (28) suffered injuries in training cast doubt on the UFC world title fight on July 11 with Colin McGregor going ahead. "There's a lot on the line, a lot of money and pride," admits McGregor who calls on the Brazilian to "step up and fight like a man." Differing reports about the nature of the Brazilian's injuries have added to the uncertainty for a fight that's expected to gross €8 million. The Nevada State Athletic Commission says its believes the injuries are not serious enough to halt the title fight. But it's an unsatisfactory situation. Either McGregor fights Aldo, who has an injury excuse, or he fights Chad Mendes for an interim title. He hasn't prepared for Mendes who's ready and claims: "I'm going to mess that dude up."
