GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI tried to draw a line in the sand under the Kevin Foley affair during clear the air talks with his squad at the Borgo A Buggiano training pitch today.
He spent an animated fifteen minutes with his players in a circle in the centre of the pitch and reminded them of their responsibilities.
Trap welcomed injury doubts John O'Shea and Shay Given back to full training.
But if the need arises in the next few days because of injury, Trapattoni would have no problem making a call “if Kevin wants to come back”, even after Foley accused him of betrayal.
“In Italy words are hot air and disappear on the wind,” said Trapattoni.
“I understand why he said these things and why he was so upset. But I always say in life, never say never.”
