THE week just gets better and better for David Moyes with the news that Wayne Rooney (left) and Manchester United are inching towards a new deal which will keep the striker at Old Trafford until 2019.
If confirmed, it means that Moyes has committed himself to building his team around Rooney who is certain to be handed the captain's armband.
And Moyes's chances of landing another big fish to parade alongside Juan Mata improved dramatically in the last 24 hours when speculation kicked into overdrive surrounding the future of Bayern Munich midfielder Tony Kroos.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola hinted yesterday that the German international, who is out of contract in June next year, could leave earlier.
