Golden-gloved Grimes set to raise Barrs in finalKARL GRIMES could play for the Dubs one day. That's the word on the Bogies. He's a brilliant goalkeeper.

He's a nephew of Ashley Grimes. Ashley played for Bohemians and Manchester United. He had a left foot that could split the Grand Canyon.

Ashley also played for the Barrs. He won three Community Games medals. Karl is the number one for the Nh Fionnbarra minor footballers. They have reached the Dublin MFC 'B' final.

"It's a wonderful achievement for the lads," says Joe Lyons, managing the side with Derek Sweetman, Ian McDonnell and Anthony Costello junior.

"They have had an outstanding campaign. They have put in the work in training. They are a very well disciplined group.

"There's a good spirit in the panel. They play for one another. And all in the club are thrilled that they have reached the final. They certainly deserve it," adds Joe.

There are some very talented footballers in the ranks. Among them are Eoin Lohan, Wayne Losty, Lee Cooney, Seán Murphy, Seán Tobin and Andy Kenny. And the young man with the golden gloves.
