The FAS/FAI Women's Soccer Programme is now entering its 7th year. The continued development and growth of the course is due to numerous achievements from its past learners. Great progress has been made in football and academically. A few examples of learner's progressions are:
• Representing the Republic of Ireland Women's National squads
• Playing in the Women's National League
• Employment in the leisure industry
• Places achieved in 3rd Level Education, notably Institutes of Technology
• Coaching positions both at home and abroad
• Scholarships to America
With the combination of football training everyday and the modules studied the course offers many avenues in which to pursue a career.
Training each day is progressive and built around improving all aspects of every learner's game which in turn should aid progression to the Women's National League.
The modules are all studied at FETAC Level 5 and are based on gaining employment in the leisure industry. The modules covered are:
Information Technology ECDL; Exercise and Fitness;
Gym Instruction; Health Related Fitness; Communications; Anatomy and Physiology; Work Experience; Pool Lifeguard Award; Sport and Recreation; Occupational First Aid;
