CARLOS TEVEZ has warned his former Old Trafford team-mates that Manchester City will "fight to the end" for the English Premier League title.

United restored their five-point lead at the top with yesterday's 4-0 hammering of Aston Villa, and now the prospect of United winning the title at the home of their 'noisy neighbours' by beating City at Eastlands in just 14 days' time is a live one.

But Tevez, bang in form after a hat-trick in City's own weekend demolition of Norwich City, has told United that City won't go down without a scrap.

"We'll be fighting until the end and until it's mathematically impossible to be champions," Tevez said.

Making light of his high-profile row with Mancini and threemonth exile in Argentina, Tevez (left) celebrated his third goal with a golf swing.
