Stokes wants dream double for Celtic

ANTHONY STOKES enjoyed Celtic's title celebrations so much he'd like to go through it all again in the Scottish Cup.

Neil Lennon's squad have been living it up since Saturday's SPL triumph at Kilmarnock but must get back to business as they begin their preparations for Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final with Hearts.

Celtic's last trip to Hampden ended in bitter disappointment as Kilmarnock ended their treble hopes by winning the League Cup but after sampling Saturday's title success Stokes and his team-mates are determined to return to the national stadium next month for the final of the Scottish Cup. “We’ve still got a huge end to the season to go,” the striker noted. “It’s not over yet.

“We’re heading back in for training, so we need to put all the celebrations firmly on hold and focus on trying to win the Scottish Cup.

“We never got the chance to win the Treble this season, but if we can finish off by winning the Double I think everyone will be delighted.

“I’ve been really happy with the way things have gone this season. I’ve had a decent goalscoring return over the course and the season isn’t done yet. Between winning the league and scoring so many goals, it’s been great.

“You really feel like things are starting to click and you’re making a contribution to such a big club.

“It’s a real honour to play for Celtic and I’m just glad I signed to be able to be part of all this.”
