Gibraltar will have a new man in charge for Ireland's next game in the Euro 2016 qualifiers after Englishman Jeff Wood was appointed national team boss.
Dave Wilson had been in charge as caretaker for the last two games having succeeded Alen Bula, who was Gibraltar boss for their 7-0 loss in Dublin last year, but Wood, 61, will now be in the dugout against Ireland in Faro on September 4th.
Meanwhile, ex-QPR keeper Brian Murphy hopes he can do enough on trial to earn a deal with Huddersfield Town. He was released by QPR at the end of last season and Huddersfield boss Chris Powell is keen to see him up close.
"Brian was recommended to our head of goalkeeping Nick Colgan and we're happy to have a closer look at him for an initial week," he said. "He's not played a lot of senior games over the last few seasons and it will be good to watch him in action."
