ARSENE Wenger still believes that Robin van Persie is a Gunner but he's been banging in goals for Manchester United and David Moyes is only too happy to remind his adversary of that fact, writes PAUL HYLAND.
"Of course it's strange because for me he is an Arsenal man," Wenger said ahead of tomorrow's clash at Old Trafford.
"Robin van Persie had been convinced by the Dutch coach who was at Manchester United, (so) that played a big part," Wenger said.
"It was more the fact that I had the conversations I had with Robin van Persie that convinced me, it is not the talk with Alex Ferguson that convinced me to sell Robin van Persie to Man United," he added.
However, Moyes retorted: "He started in England at Arsenal but won the title here. I think people in Manchester see him as a Manchester United player."
