Ward: I want to stay at Wolves

STEPHEN WARD says he's willing to stick around with relegated Wolves and help the club win instant promotion back to the Premier League.

The board at Molineux are this week planning for life in the Championship after relegation was confirmed on Sunday, and while club CEO Jez Moxey has said that Wolves are not under pressure to sell their players, some big names will have to be offloaded from the wage bill, Kevin Doyle already linked with a move away.

But Ward, an ever-present in the league for Wolves, says he'll only move on if the club decide to sell him.

"I have enjoyed playing in the Premier League and I want to play there again, but this club needs players who are committed to getting Wolves back into the Premier," Ward told the Herald.

"Wolves have been good to me and I've had great times there, and if nothing happens in the summer fingers crossed we'll have a squad strong enough to get promoted back into the Premier."
