Van Dijk to face Caley Jags after red appeal

Celtic have appealed Virgil van Dijk's red card at Aberdeen in midweek, leaving him free to play in the Scottish Premiership clash against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Parkhead this afternoon.

The Dutch defender (pictured) was dismissed by referee Craig Thomson after bringing down Peter Pawlett on the edge of the box during the 2-1 defeat at Pittodrie on Tuesday night but manager Neil Lennon was unhappy enough to contest the decision.

Stefan Johansen is back in the squad after recovering from an ankle knock while long-term absentees Mikael Lustig (hip), Beram Kayal (foot) and Steven Mouyokolo (Achilles) remain unavailable.
