Trap's walking wounded

GIOVANNI Trapattoni must wade through a growing list of walking wounded to find a team fit enough to play Bosnia after new injury scares emerged, most notably Richard Dunne.

A small tear in Dunne's abdominal wall showed up in a scan and prompted Trap to put his most important defender on the easy list.

With concerns rising about Shay Given's knee and John O'Shea's ankle, Trapattoni (right) is still happy that most of his medical concerns are minor but he won't be taking any chances.

"I have a responsibility. I would be an idiot and the player would be an idiot if they played with an injury," he said sending a clear message to any player willing to downplay a problem just to make the team.

Given, Dunne and O'Shea will play no part in training today but Keith Andrews (groin) and Jon Walters (knee) were able to take part in yesterday's afternoon session.

Both Keith Fahey (groin) and Kevin Foley (hamstring) continue to work in the gym.
