FORMER Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni says he's keen to get back into management again and is mulling over offers, writes AIDAN FITZMAURICE.
The 74-year-old has been out of work since his time with the FAI ended after the back-to-back defeats to Sweden and Austria in the World Cup qualifiers, Ireland sliding to an all-time low of 67 in the FIFA world rankings in recent months.
Trap has not yet found a job, but he insists he has had offers. "I have to be careful where I choose next," he said.
"I've received flattering requests from far off places like America and Japan. I have meetings lined up in the near future and we'll see whether I decide to go east or west.
"I still have the enthusiasm for this job because mentally, I feel fresh. I'm not ready to take a back office position just yet."
