Stokes and Westwood stay at home

Anthony Stokes and Keiren Westwood were withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad that travelled to Georgia yesterday afternoon.

Ireland manager Martin O'Neill explained: "Westwood has had to go home. He is pretty ill. He has been isolated for the last couple of days. It's a real shame. He's had to go, he won't travel with us.

"Anthony Stokes won't travel with us. James McCarthy is fine, he has trained the last couple of days including this morning. Jon Walters has trained and I think at the moment as we speak no real reaction which is very healthy and good news so that 23 will travel. We have 23. Anthony will go back to Celtic and the other players we'll work out accordingly."
