STEPHEN WARD believes that his Brighton team-mate Will Buckley would be a welcome addition to the Ireland squad.
Buckley (25) cost Brighton £1m when they bought him from Watford two years ago, and the winger has impressed in the Seagulls side this season.
He has made it known that he's eligible for Ireland through his grandfather and Ward, who is back in the Irish squad for the first time in nine months, says he's already discussed the international scene with his fellow Seagull.
"He's a really good player, he's a winger. We've spoken about it a few times and obviously myself and Keith Andrews are telling him about how good it is over here. He's been linked a few times," says Ward.
"It will be interesting to see what happens there."
