Sligo's Greene in for U21s

SLIGO Rovers star Aaron Greene is in line for his first international cap after he was called up to the Ireland U21 squad for tomorrow's friendly against Austria.

Dubliner Greene has played Champions League and Europa League football but so far international football has passed him by, but his form for Sligo this season has prompted coach Noel King to add him as a substitute.

Midfielder Adam Barton has been withdrawn from the U21 squad at the request of Preston boss Phil Brown.

Sean Scannell is also out after picking up an injury in Crystal Palace's defeat to Peterborough, so York City defender Lanre Oyebanjo is in.
