Sheridan hopes to make a Kil-ling after first hat-trick

IRISH international Cillian Sheridan hopes that his SPL hat-trick for Kilmarnock is a sign of things to come for the Cavan lad.

Former Celtic man Sheridan joined Killie from CSKA Sofia last month and made his mark with a career-first hat-trick in his side's 3-1 win over Hearts.

"It's been a great start, but there's a lot of football to go and I'm just hopeful that I can keep it up," he said.

"It's massive for me to be signed at Kilmarnock. The last few years I've been left wondering every summer, every transfer window, where I'm going to be playing. It gives me the ability to play with a bit more freedom.

"Because I'm tall I'm seen as a target man, but I'd rather run at a defender than fight with him.

"So the way this team plays suits me in that way."
