ST BENILDUS College ensured they finished the season with silverware thanks to a 2-0 win over Beneavin College in the Dublin Under-15 Boys Metropolitan League Final.
A first-half brace from Andrew Brennan at Peamount United FC last week was enough to ensure Benildus claimed the glory.
The South Dubliners had previously beaten Hartstown Community School in the semi-finals and were strong enough to see off North Dublin rivals Beneavin on this occasion.
The win also means that Benildus eventually added to their Leinster Minor Cup success of last season with silverware in this campaign.
Defeat to eventual All-Ireland winners Gorey Community School in this year's provincial decider left the Kilmacud school one game short of keeping their title from last year.
Last week's victory actually made it third-time lucky for Benildus too, as their Under-17s were beaten in that decider by Presentation College, Bray.
Manager Niall Maher insists ending the season with a trophy was an important achievement for the side.
"It was nice to finish what has been a good season on a high," said Maher.
"We did really, really well in the Leinster Cup this year but were beaten by a really good Gorey side in the final."
