ROY Keane has ditched his decision to stay away from punditry and will join Paul Scholes as an ITV analyst for the upcoming Champions League clash between Chelsea and PSG.
Keane walked away from ITV last summer when he had the option of travelling to Brazil for the World Cup finals and in his book The Second Half, claimed that he felt conflicted by his duties as Ireland No 2.
His decision to take-up Paul Lambert's offer of an assistant's role at Villa Park and double-job with Ireland meant that punditry slipped right down his priority list.
"I could see myself working in TV again sometime in the future but not while I was in a football job, working with a team. I just thought, 'No - it's not for me'," said Keane in his book.
However, Keane has not followed his own advice and after a series of high-profile and headline grabbing incidents, has decided to accept an offer to appear on Mark Pougatch's first show as Adrian Chiles' replacement.
